loser in my life

So the lyric came from a B rated movie. I don’t remember the name of the film. But at the end the guy says “I  understand the basic weaknesses that make you do the things you do”. The verse practically wrote itself.

Another dark lyric. I remember in New York taking this song to an ASCAP round table. After playing it many songwriters shot it down because of the negative hook. I was defended by a pro that night; a man who wrote hits for the Supremes. He felt any emotion was worthy, even negative ones.

Later on in the band Darling II in Boston we did this.  It has more of a ska feeling and some great sax work by Tom Gimble.
