I love the ocean. I grew up in Connecticut near the ocean. My father was a communications officer on submarines. One time on family day, we went out into the Long Island Sound on a sub. It was amazing.
Some of my friends had sail boats. Ed taught me how to tack as he worked the sailboat against the current. On senior skip day in high school some of us grabbed a case of beer and sailed out to Block Island for the day.
I love fishing for lake trout in the Finger Lakes. Being on the water taking in nature while luring the trout with a Sutton Spoon with a spool of copper line or a Seth Green rig is the Finger Lakes way.
This song is a simple Intro ABC ABC ABBCC coda. There is a one bar diminished 5th resolving down a half step on the hook. Other than that it’s pure pop.
Sail With Me
Sail With Me lyrics
Tack toward the sun
We're escaping from the shoreline
And if the wind is blowing strong
Then we'll sail forevermore
Feel the sun
Catch the waves
We'll leave the world behind us
Feel the sun
Catch the wind
We'll let the ocean guide us
Come sail with me
Tack toward the sun
Till we reach our new horizon
And if you feel like I feel
Then we'll sail forevermore
Feel the sun
Catch the waves
We'll wash away our sorrow
Feel the sun
Catch the wind
We'll sail right through tomorrow
Come sail with me
